Wings of Desire (1987)

Fly with the angel Damiel around Berlin where his attentions alight on Marion, a trapeze artist, and he contemplates a forever kind of fall. Wim Wender’s German classic isn’t for the faint of heart, as it has subtitles, is shot mostly in black and white, and contains some massively long silences. But it’s so worth it.
